In particular, burdock and watercress have an action on the intestine, liver, skin, gall bladder, kidneys and blood; horehound acts on the intestine, gall bladder, kidneys; the plantain has the intestine and kidneys as its organs of action; barberry and gentian act on the liver and gallbladder; flue on the liver. Finally, the shepherd’s purse, thanks to the presence of mercaptan compounds and isothiocyanates, carries out a detoxifying action by counteracting the action of free radicals.
