It is the Artisan mountain chamomile liqueur by Carlo Ericini, Bormio.
This liqueur is based on Matricaria chamomile, originally from southern Europe and by some also called “German chamomile”. German chamomile is annual herbaceous plant blooms from May to September and is characterized by an erect branchy stem up to 30 cm high with bipinnate-matched leaves with thin, linear, elongated segments, flat on the underside. Those that look like single yellow flowers surrounded by white petals are actually “flower heads”, that is a set of small flowers: the central ones are tubular and yellow, the lateral ones have a white lingula that looks like the petal, instead the receptacle on which the flowers rest has a conical shape and is hollow inside (unlike Roman chamomile). The part used in herbal medicine is the part of the flower that contains the active ingredients, that is the flower head.
The plant has been well known since ancient times for its beneficial properties. In herbal medicine it is known in particular for its anti-inflammatory and antispasmodic properties on the smooth muscles of the digestive tract.
It is a delicate, pleasant liqueur, prepared with selected chamomile flowers collected in the Stelvio National Park with specific authorization, by the skilled hands of Dr. Stefano Ericini. It is recommended to use after meals, and in the evening before going to bed. Also excellent hot.
Ericini chamomile liqueur contains an infusion of herbs, hydrated alcohol, sugar, natural flavors. It is a natural product without dyes and preservatives. It is important to note the mastery with which this distillate is produced as it is not easy to filter.
